Huge thanks to Echuin and her team at Dentelle for designing three stunning pieces for me: my white gown, cheongsam, and floral gown. Each piece was uniquely beautiful and reflected a different side of me. I even requested a matching cheongsam for my bear. I truly couldn’t be happier with how they turned out.
Although I’m based overseas, the process was smooth and convenient via WhatsApp texts. Fittings were scheduled during my trip back to Malaysia, and we even had my husband’s suit made there too with Devone Bespoke!
The price was very reasonable, especially compared to renting designer gowns, and the best part is I got to keep something made just for me. I always wished to have my own wedding gowns, so we visited bridal stores abroad, but nothing fit quite right. I had been following Dentelle on Instagram for some time and loved their aesthetic, creativity and versatility, so I decided to reach out for a quote.
The process started with design discussions via WhatsApp texts. I shared photos of gowns I had tried on, and Echuin gave valuable input and ideas. Dentelle’s Instagram was also a huge source of inspiration for me. After finalizing the concepts, I received design sketches and quotes via email. At that point, you’re given about a week to confirm and make full payment to begin production.
A few weeks after confirmation, I selected the laces virtually via email. Then came the waiting period before my first in-person fitting. While I didn't get to see how the process would be, Echuin was patient and responsive, answering my questions/doubts and reassuring me along the way.
Dentelle's approach is to present the full gown during the first fitting, and when I finally saw them for my first time, I was truly in love. They also made some small adjustments as we requested over the course of a few fittings to perfect the fit. After my first fitting, I felt excited that I would look beautiful on my big day.
